Hello, everyone!
Sorry for the extended break from the blog, but finals hit and then winter break turned out to be a lot crazier than I expected with our vacation to see Bryan's family. I'm going to catch up over a few posts this week, and then get back into the grind. Obviously, this post is about school...there will also be one about Bryan and I, one about Trisha and what is happening there, and one about things with Kyle.
I managed to make it through finals week intact, although it took about two weeks for my brain to re-solidify. It was leaking out my ears by the time I was done. I finished my first semester with three As and three Bs, which is better than I was hoping for because I really thought I'd botched organic chem. Right now, I have a 3.5.
I also made it into the pit orchestra for the Guys and Dolls show at the end of February, so rehearsals for that start tomorrow right after choir rehearsal. I'm really glad I made it and I'm looking forward to it, but it's stressing me out a little bit because of my course load this semester. I'm just holding onto the fact that by the time things come down to the wire in March, it'll be nothing but a memory...a really fun memory, but a memory nonetheless.
For the spring semester, I'm taking organic chem 2, a literature class called "Literature of the Apocalypse", cell and molecular biology, and calc 1. I'm scared to death of calculus...it just started yesterday and I'm already certain I'm going to struggle. It's definitely going to take some buckling down to come out of this semester with my GPA intact. I don't want anything less than a 3.5, but I'm shooting for at least a 3.8. (Kyle graduated from King's with a 3.6, and I have to beat him. Honor and all that. :P)
Keep an eye out for my catch up posts, and I can't wait to share the ups and downs of this semester with you guys!

Nice grades! Hopefully you can keep up with it all.
Thanks! I am looking forward to this semester, to be completely honest. I'm really nervous about Guys and Dolls, though. We only have a month and the orchestra part is a disaster. The trumpet part is very difficult and I don't have enough time to constantly practice. I hope it comes together in time.
